During the first weekend of March, the Ambani’s hosted a pre-wedding party weekend for their son Anant Ambani and his bride-to-be Radhika Merchant. Mukesh Ambani is, according to Forbes India, the richest man in India. With a net worth of $117.5B, Ambani had a whole lot to spend on this extravagant party. The weekend reportedly cost around $120M, and no expense was spared. There were 21 chefs who prepared hundreds of diches, a nine-page dress code and there were flowers everywhere. Lots of celebrities like: Ivanka Trump, Mark Zuckerberg, and Karlie Kloss attended the prestigious event, and Rihanna did a live performance.
Dress codes
The weekend consisted of different themes with dress codes to match. The theme for day 1 was: “An Evening In Neverland”, with dress code: elegant cocktail. Day 2 was: “A Walk On The Wild Side”, with jungle fever as the dress code, and after a switch to “Dazzling Desi Romance” suggesting glamorous traditional South Asian attires. The final days theme was: “Tusker Trails” with dress code casual chic and “Hashtakshar” where people were expected to wear elegant heritage Indian wear. But who covered the themes best? Radhika Merchant
On the first night, the bride-to-be wore a radiant strapless dress by Versace. The dress resembled Blake Lively’s iconic Met Gala 2022 look, but without the gloves and extravagant train, Radhika made the look modern and simple.
Nita Ambani
Mama Ambani, Nita, greeted their guests in an elegant beige Ghagra combined with a pearl blouse and necklace to complete the look. She wore her blown out hair down for a youthful look.
Dressed in the same colors, were her husband Mukesh and son Anant. Together they formed a lovely trio.
Isha Ambani
Anant’s sister, Isha Ambani, attended the first night of the event in a pink floral dress designed by Miss Sohee. Her look matched the location perfectly, and paired with a matching set of jewelry, she looked absolutely regal.
Ivanka Trump
On the last night of the event, Ivanka trump turned heads with this dazzling lime green Lehenga. The colors really complemented her complexion, and her overall look fit the theme: “Hashtakshar” perfectly.
Alia Bhatt
Alia Bhatt embodied the theme: “An Evening In Neverland” in her midnight blue, velvet dress. The dress, designed by Andrea Brocca, fit Alia like a glove and with her minimal jewelry, she simplified this stunning look.
Rihanna
The last look is Rihanna’s. She dressed in a pink and green outfit during one of her performances at the event. Her coat was custom made by Dolce & Gabbana and her dress embellished with micro-Swarovski. Rihanna literally stole the show in this look!
